Australia Gold Exploration Potential

Tuesday June 2, 2009

Aussie gold exploration is a tempting prospect for both small and large size mining companies, and the first half of 2009 has seen new and redeveloped gold mining operations. The news comes on the back of sharp gold price spikes due to turbulence in the stock markets and other world market influences.

For the first time in several years, investors are starting to pay attention to gold prices again as other base metals have failed to perform, and Australia's gold production has climbed three percent to 54.5 tonnes compared to the first quarter of 2008.

As demand for gold increases and prices stay steady, companies are looking for further gold mining opportunities, and there are several potential sites in Australia believed to be potentially worthwhile for gold mining. The rich natural resource will serve the Australian economy well in the coming years as supply and demand drives gold prices.
